We are an independent and dynamic estate agent specialising in period and modern bespoke property.
Blenkin & Co has won ‘Best Small Agent’ at ‘The Yorkshires’, a prestigious real estate awards ceremony held at New Dock Hall in Leeds on 17 October. £137,000 was raised on the day for the Yorkshire Children’s Charity, a hugely worthwhile cause which Blenkin & Co is delighted to support once again. Edward Hartshorne was delighted to accept the award and, in his interview afterwards, said: ‘Winning this award is a huge honour. Although we also won in 2021, it was certainly unexpected to win in 2024 and very exciting on the day. It means a lot to the whole Blenkin & Co team to be recognised in this way.”
I’ve been at the helm for nearly ten years and Blenkin & Co has been at the forefront of property sales in and around York for nearly three decades. During that time, we’ve got to know successions of owners who’ve bought and sold in the city, in the towns and villages across the Vale of York, and in the Howardian and Hambleton Hills, Wolds, Dales, Moors and coast. We know the properties and their history, and our innovative approach to marketing sets us apart from our competitors. Clients in Hutton le Hole, a hot-spot for successful Blenkin & Co sales, told us, “You really do deliver the service that you market yourselves upon”.
At Blenkin & Co our track record sits squarely behind our reputation and this is borne out by our recent success at the Yorkshire Property Awards 2021 where we were voted ‘Best Small Agent’. Statistics taken from two consecutive years of doing business reveal that most of our properties sell within one per cent of their listed guide price, and the average time on the market is six weeks with many sales being promptly agreed within ten days.
